If the provision is tuned to their needs, then two year olds are possibly the most rewarding age group to work with
The entitlement to 15 hours of free early education to disadvantaged 2 year olds provides an opportunity for children, families and settings. Young children are incredibly rewarding to work with but we need to build trust with parents and be careful to ensure provision is non-stigmatising and meets their needs. The principles of transition are the same as for older children in the EYFS but with even more emphasis on helping parents understand about learning through play and the early years curriculum.
