Rose, J., Gilbert, L., McGuire-Sniekus, R. (2015)
This pilot study conducted by (Rose et al., 2015) in England in a rural disadvantaged area sought to assess the benefit of training for practitioners who work with young children in settings such as early years or schools when emotion coaching approaches are applied in a professional context. The emotion coaching approaches were particularly considered during incidents involving emotions and behaviours. The findings of this study which were based on a mixed method approach indicate that the use of emotion coaching strategies to support behavioural management approaches and policies in a variety of environments and age groups is effective.
